Using natural light in your photography

We take a look in to how we can utilise natural light to lift highlights and control shadows in photo shoots. In this particular photo shoot the couple wanted a warm tone to their images giving an almost sunset feel.

Using one of our coloured reflectors we managed to manipulate the natural light. Bouncing the light up at an angle from the floor on to our subjects, effectively using it as a natural key light.

Through trialing some different angles and poses we managed to use the light to bring out our clients highlights. For example in the above image we have an almost inner glow effect on the clients all while bringing out beautiful warm tones.

We absolutely loved this photo shoot and can’t wait to work with these clients again!
