An interview with Soph from SyrensStudio Photography
Get to know Soph our photographer, as we take her to one side and interview her over a coffee and a croissant.
How long have you been a photographer?
My parents bought me my first camera when I was nine years old. Ever since then It’s always been my dream to be a photographer full time.
How would you describe your photography style?
I’d describe it as dark etherealism.
What is dark etherealism?
It is ethereal whimsy with a touch of the dark side.
Are you team Canon or team Nikon?
Canon cameras all day, every day.
What’s your dream location for a photoshoot?
Either the Scottish Highlands or Banff in Canada.
What’s your favourite season?
It has to be Autumn, I just love the warm brown and orange hues.
What artists are you listening to currently?
I can’t get enough of Bad Omens, Teddy Swims & Billie Eilish.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have a rescue Greyhound (he’s a good boy).
If you could photograph anyone, who would it be?
My Grandparents. I was lucky enough to be able to set up a portrait of them both on Christmas day 2023.
